No they aren't. they may have a huge area of explosion as large as a country. But they can't destroy mountains. Although this explosion's AOE was atleast country level too. Hiroshima and Nagasaki are good and only examples though. The mountains in those cities are still there.

^^ I agree with this basically. But Top tier Naruto characters have been calculated to be massively hypersonic many times at different instances. Although the low tier fodders may not even be subsonic. Also the speed is as inconsistent as any other manga. So no one can be sure about it. U_U
