I think neither die, but instead of Naruto losing to Sasuke and him letting Naruto live, its the opposite and Naruto whoops Sasuke's ass, but lets him live, but not a on a whim, but because he truly cares about him. And then that's why we saw Sasuke's character design. Just a thought.
