Why Naruto VS Sasuke has been somewhat disappointing

Naruto held back far too long for the fight actually be an all out fight. Only when they were both out of chakra and had to resort to old fashioned fisticuffs have you they ever been really equal.

Chapter 695: Naruto hates the fact that they're fighting in the first place and is only defending himself. When PS and his Bjiū Mode clash, he is visibly upset, and when Sasuke calls him on his lack of interest in fighting him, Naruto simply tells him he doesn't want to fight.

Chapter 696: Sasuke once agains call Naruto on his lack of killing intent and the latter once again reiterates he doesn't want to kill him. In a battle of between top tier shinobi, fighting without the intent to kill, even if that isn't the goal, is dangerous, and yet Naruto remains adamant about defending himself whilst trying to talk Sasuke out of what he is doing (to no avail). It takes Sasuke having to use the chakra of the nine bijū to finally motivate Naruto to start fighting seriously.

Chapter 697: Naruto and Sasuke go at one another using mostly taijutsu. Once could surmise Naruto is intent on breaking him physically without killing him, but we can tell he is taking it seriously. In this chapter, Yin Kurama confirms something we have already suspect for a while: Naruto's chakra was low from the get-go due to nonstop fighting in the war against: 100K White Zetsu (on and off screen), numerous Edo Tensei (on and off screen), Obito, 5 bijū, Madara, Jūbi Jinchūriki Obito, Jūbi Jinchūriki Madara, Kaguya, and finally Sasuke. All this fighting combined with the fact he divided his chakra amongst the 40K or so survivors and had his bijū extracted from him and temporarily died (the extraction alone exhausted Kushina to near death) - this all paints a clear picture, one that shows Naruto was undeniably at a disadvantage from the very beginning.

The last chapter outdid the whole duration of the fight though. Kishimoto showed Sasuke's feelings and how he actually struggles in trying to kill Naruto. The simple fist-brawl between them was the best thing in this fight.

It is disappointing, Kishi played this fight imo. We are at the end, yet we never saw LRS or STBRS.... and then Kishi has the audacity to have Naruto running low on chakra (which is most likely attributed to him fighting this war, kaguya, madara, obito, and now Sasuke). I wanted more...and definitely wanted those statues destroyed. lel

Before sasuke fans come in and say this is a wank thread I advise you look at where TC is coming from. I understand that Naruto has low chakra but I think you're missing several key points. Unlike Naruto saauke HAS no HEALING factor. Naruto has a natural healing factor, kyuubi, and sage mode among other factors such as his Sage cloak from hagoromo.Healing factor>>>>>>>>>No healing factor. Sasuke's had to fight without it this entire war even if it's small a healing factor is a healing factor. Personally I think sasuke is at the disadvantage this entire war he has fought without healing until kabuto and has also been put in a near death situation but both have relentlessly fought, kishi knows Naruto has a natural healing factor hence why he takes more damage he can't pin that on sasuke cause he has no healing factor.

As for the fight in not sure why you're disappointed. This fight has been amazing, godly techniques, nostalgia, and beatdowns. Not wanting to kill and not wanting to fight are two different things. Naruto wants to defeat sasuke so he is trying but he doesn't want to have the same intent to kill. In fact Naruto rarely has the intent to kill. The reason why your topic is biased us because from a fan perspective even if Naruto loses by your logic you could easily argue he never tried in fact by your logic you're stating one has to have the intent to kill to truly try which is false. That's a hindsight bias and is bunk on a side note when it comes to who is stronger that's arguable but they are pretty much equal. Sasuke fans could argue sasuke as Naruto needed two earth induced rasenshurikens to match one lightning arrow. Naruto fans could argue Naruto like they did last chapter since wind over lightning. But honestly you should just be satisfied with this. They are both extremely tired and sustained the same amount of damage. Health wise they are the same, it'd be cliché for the fight to end on a note of hashi and madara they need something new.

sasuke doesnt need a healing factor. he barely suffered any injury's against kabuto, kabuto healed him after his fight with madara, and he barely suffered any injury's against madara/kaguya. other then that one struck to the arm with her bayakugan, all of kaguya's attacks were blocked by susanno. i dont even think sasuke bleed once (other then from his eye) during that fight.

Naruto made a promise and emphasized he will bring him back before the fight

Something has to happen to make Sasuke realize it's bad to be alone. And I think that's by realizing he lost the battle, and at the same time got spared

Yeah, it's pretty pathetic that Naruto has to be nerfed this much. Naruto should effectively never run out of chakra with all the Bijuu inside him plus his own reserves, but he's magically out of it at a critical moment, not using his top tier attacks, his healing factor nor Sage sensing, etc.

It's just dumb. But whatever, gotta keep the Sasuke fanboys reading to milk them for all they're worth.
