Madara's expression is not one of shock that lee cut him in half with his kick. His expression was Lee cutting the link between him and the Juubi.

My thought is that Madara was pouring all his chakra into the Juubi to try and keep it under control that is why he did not retaliate against Lee.

Now the link has been severed the Juubi will lose its **** and tbh it is all thanks to Naruto and Lee. Actually now I think about it why didn't Shikamaru see this coming?

Thats what they hav been trying to do all this time: to cut the link. I think they might know a way to seal the juubi or tame it....(just guessing) that all along, it was the link breakage they were concerned about.

Nope, Nope, Madara was Blitzed in a sense, he may have been supressing the jubi but
Madara had MANY easy ways of defending IF HE COULD.....All he had to do was lift his fan up in front and it would push lee back..Tobi even had time to activate his kamui... So you can't say hiss 100% was being put into the juubi
