your premise is flawed in a bunch of other ways. Naruto was given Kurama for the purpose of making Naruto stronger and he's only gotten as far as he has becuase of kurama's chakra. You also neglected to mention the fact that Naruto gets free giant chakra reserves from his Uzumaki lineage.
Sasuke had to train to master his sharingan from 1t to 3t, Naruto was born with giant chakra reserves. Sasuke had to train to master his curse mark. MS by itself isn't a free power-up. He had to train to master Amaterasu-Blaze release and Susanoo, so yes he trained to master MS.
