it's a bit more than that...ppl forget that with every clone that naruto makes, he gains the knowledge of that clone...now over the manga he has spammed practically millions of clones...I think his "stupidity" is really just his childish demeanor (he is 17)...be he is in my opinion, practically a genius...

Look at his battle with Kakuzu (I hope I spelled that right)...mixing himself with the clones, outsmart a guy that was at least 100 years old (cause of his hearts)...

Look at the Pain battle...yes, he got alot of help, but if he was as dumb as we think he is, he would have never won...the turning the absorption Pain into a statue, hitting the same one with Frog Kata, it wasn't just coincidence...

The biggest example of his intelligence is the sealing of the Third Raikage...who would've taught of that?

Overall, Naruto's intelligence is highly underrated...but with Kurama it is like he has a high council on his side at all times

Naruto has still made dumb decisions even while befriending kurama. sure kurama has battle tactics but naruto is the one experiencing the hand-to hand combat and its his decisions that he's making not kurama's, unless as i've said he were to give naruto some premeditated battle plans.
