Is it hypocritical of America to frown on Iran's building of nuclear weapons when they themselves have them ?
I'm not saying that America shouldn't have them or scolding them for having them but its not right to critisize Iran for it.
Its not about trusting the country but I think it may be because of the "unrest" between the two countries which may lead to the USA being wary about it and if the tables were turned Iran to would do the same to USA. I think its more of Iran being ready for the worst-case scenario and wanting to defend themselves.

What do you think ?

There's no right or wrong in politics, just interests. The rest is propaganda.

When you're the biggest power in the world you can pretty much say or do what you want, but nothing lasts forever.

The U.S. has them but they aren't building them. The UN has issued the dismantle of all nuclear bombs years ago.
The process of taking them apart is difficult and still being done today.A country like iran with its constant threads to other countries well being and its own is more then enough to say "hey stop making bombs." No good will come out of it.

I do not know what your extent of knowledge is on the actual topic but i suggest you go look into it more.It is a very complicated matter.

While I am in agreement you upon such a view, I argue that mere consideration and hypocrisy will not be accounted for in comparison to the fears of nuclear weaponry, as we have yet to completely understand the overall direction of some country leaders' minds. Believe me, despite how nonsensical it may sound, some lack all rationality of thought and would be more than willing to launch nuclear weapons against other countries without caring about the repercussions, it may sound insane, but that is the insanity that has come to plague many leaders. When one becomes so blinded from a common reason it is entirely unpredictable the drastic means and lengths they are willing to go to in order to prove their point or fulfill an unknown desire. The main reason Iran has been repeatedly asked to stop its nuclear missile production is due to Israel being very close by and Iran's leader making constant threats and promises that, without any cryptic or hinted implications and in fact directly state, he plans to wipe Israel off the earth from existence, and as an ally and being within close relations with the United States, it becomes the country's issue as well, especially when much of Israel has become so fearful[and only recently been receiving missile strikes from palestine], that they are willing to take up arms themselves and state very clearly: "If Iran doesn't stop its nuclear missile production and the US doesn't stop them, we will take action"

America likes to be in charge. It also may be that Iran is an outspoken enemy of Israel (i.e. America's ally) and that's a big no-no.

I'm not saying America is an angel or saying they aren't hypocrites and I don't want to throw everyone on the bandwagon here but Iran honestly can't be trusted with Nuclear Weapons

Yes, and USA cares so much about well being of those countries. No ulterior motives at all U_U

Besides, this isn't simply a problem of one government, as many carry their own curtains to hide shady activity, such is life and we are damned9condemned) to live in that. One make object it is hypocrisy by looking at merely the overview rather than probing through detail, one may also point out a matter of trust between all of humanity[one that is unfortunately well reinforced by our faults and daily negativities in moral perspective]. But I digress, this issue is merely one of plenty and never will ANY of us known the full truths and facts behind any of these issues. So for now we may only infer and offer our own propositions.
