Minato can fly?

Hey, heres another thing that would be cool, technically nagato should be able to create a meteor the size of 100 suns, think about it, all he has to do is keep making meteors and stacking them next to each other?

The only problem with your idea is how much chakra and concentration FDG uses, so much so that it takes 3 of the hokages special gaurd just to be able to use it. For him to back to back like that in battle would be draining not to mention pointless.

I mean ya it would be cool to see him flying through the air as a joke, but you dont see Sasuke cooking burgers with amaterasu do you?

i wasn't being sarcastic, just so you know, i don't want anyone to be confused. nagato would need edo-like chakra to do that, and yeah, minato couldn't do this forever, but people here on NB talk as if he could, so i assumed he can compete with flying opponents and use this type of creativity to his advantage. we know it would work, but what would it cost, and to what degree would it be effective.

Actually Minato has already named what you're talking about in this thread. It's called FTG V2. And it's basically teleporting to moving objects that have been marked by him.

except it wouldn't work because she's too slow... i mean it would, if she just wanted to jump a little higher, but she can't extend her jump as far and for the duration that minato could

the idea of teleportation is beyond any gravitational intention. It means to have some kind of moving from gate A to gate B with a medium of space. Naruto can implement this style if he made thousand clone while jumping in the air and tip toed every kage bushin he had until he reaches maximum height or manipulate the kage bushin movement forward in the motion of flying. But still its not flying to me. Anyway good theory.

I don't know why you are comparing Minato's guards to Minato himself. Minato has been shown to be fully able to use FTG continuously throughout a battle. For him, there are far less negative side effects. The chakra drain is minimal.

i actually agree. it's not really flying, but with minato's speed and kunai skills, it can compete with and accurately enough, duplicate flying. the point of flying is to defy gravity, right? but you state that teleportation is beyond any gravitational intention. which means, if i'm not mistaken, that it transcends gravity itself. so if it is beyond gravity, it makes gravity a non-factor. which makes being able to defy gravity nothing special in the feat of moving like minato. minato's form of movement is that he's not really moving at all, and that's an advantage in that it takes less for him to actually "move", or change the placement of his body.

Isn't FTG a sort of reverse summoning technique? I know it's labeled as a time/space jutsu, but isn't he just reverse summoning himself to a kunai or whatever has the symbol he uses?
