Bogard will undoubtedly pick me up on this. I'm all for a debate, despite supporting the more difficult side xd.

Haha, i'm curious to know your reason How does Kisame react to Minato's shunshin in the first place? Supposing he even starts with the water dome, Minato can use Summoning jutsu. By summoning Gamabunta, Kisame would have difficulties to handle him in close quaters, not even mentioning the fact that frogs are usually in their element in water.

Gamabunta has shown impressiv feats in handling even a Bijuu like Shukaku, his suiton was matching Shukaku's fuuton. Gamabunta was also able to block 100% Kyubi on the ground(eventhough it was just for a moment).

At the same moment, Kisame would also have to worry about Minato, look over every markings, every kunais. If he enters the FTG zone, even on water, he could get surprised anytime and from the moment he gets tagged it's over. Kisame absorbs ninjutsu true, but he doesn't absorb ken/taijutsu

Minato will use FTG and gets caught into water prison after that Kisame feeds him to his sharks

You didn't favour Kisame in your conditions? Minato blitz him from the start then. It's manga canon that he can't follow Naruto's speed who was considered "not on Minato's level" by Yamato

It didn't dawn on me that this location originally wasn't the lake Kisame created. Nevertheless, 40 meters is nearly half a football field, that should be enough of a distance for Kisame to simply clap his hands and create the same huge water source like in the scenario where he fought team gai.

Just a thought, can the Kunai be countered by Water techs ? After all, the seal is just made out of paper.

If not I'd give it to Minato. Due to you giving both full knowledge, and due to the 40 meter distance, he has time to spread around his Kunai at will. This'd serve as a good counter to the Great Shark Bullet, as he could teleport out of it's way, and if Kisame uses the Water Dome, Minato could summon the Frogs to help him out. I also don't see Kisame hitting Minato with anything with Minato's immense speed.

It only takes a clap of his hands though...Minato isn't covering 40 meters within the very few seconds it takes for Kisame to use water shock wave.

Once this is accomplished, where is Minato going to spread his Kunai without them sinking to the bottom of the lake?

There's no way Kisame is beating Gamabunta U_U, he has water element+liquid bullets+his oil allows to use fire style with paper bomb combo! He took on Shukaku and held full powered Kurama!

Gama can handle Samehada attacks which pretty much owned Asuma U_U

So Kisame can solo Son Goku the 4 tails jinchuriki and also hold his own against Killer Bee, but can't handle Gamabunta?

But, he can't really handle the toad summons, nor can he get a hit off on Minato :shrug:

Kisame with an entire body of water at his disposal is almost like Gaara in the desert, his capabilities are almost limitless. Kisame has one of the biggest chakra reserves in the manga, and can easily outlast Minato, even if he can't hit him. The toad summons aren't even a huge threat, as I said before he solo'd the 4 tails and went head to head with Bee.

ftg would be near useless in the water dome. kisame wins, mid diff. unless minato ftg and rasengans his head off before he gets the water dome up.
