Meaning they're both good in their own right, Minato like Mozart was a prodigy, died young and left an outstanding legacy, Itachi like Beethoven, lived with a disability, darkness and tragedy sorrounded his life, made a big impact in the world, then died, apples and oranges :D

You know, the Minato vs Itachi threads are like Mozart vs Beethoven threads in classical music forums, there's no end to it, you can only conclude that each were great in their own right, Apples and Oranges.

Going by that analogy, would I be right in saying that Sakura is Nicki Minaj?

Why are everyone so thrilled about Itachi and Minato these days. It's one of the few examples, of characters, who has absolutely no affiliation with each other, whatsoever.

Saying they're like Mozart and Beethoven is just... They have so much in common, where as Itachi and Minato has nothing in common, except they loved their village, but that goes for 1000 others too...

This description fits better for Sasuke and Itachi. Itachi being Mozart, the brilliant artist, whom Beethoven idolized his entire life, thus he never gained the same reputation at an early age. Mozart being ill, and died early, just like Itachi.

Beethoven, when he finally had a breakthrough (ie. Sasuke gained MS, by obtaining his goal), he started to lose his hearing ability, and gradually lost it over time, till he reached an extent, where he had to give up on playing music.
