What makes people say Itachi > Sasuke?

lol hows a bird gonna help him with yata and izanami....totsuka can be countered with ama orb or susanoo arrow which is longer range. All sasuke needs to do is maintain a good distance and its over for itachi. Not to mention itachi will lose his stamina way before sasuke does because he only has MS, and ama/tsukyomi are also useless against sasuke

Itachi is more experienced smart and calm to handle a battle like this.Plus Sasuke doesn't have any counter for Izanami.Itachi would have to wait an eternity for Sasuke to realize his mistakes and break through Izanami.

Sasuke literally has nothing with which he can hurt, trick, or overwhelm Itachi, who toyed with him while he was sick and going blind, which means he pretty much fought on par with a 3 tomoe sharingan user while handicapped and was still superior. It's quite clear for me Sasuke has surpassed Itachi. I mean, he surpassed him the moment he got the EMS. I understand people use the Kabuto fight as an example of Itachi's superiority, but him being an edo isn't really taken to account. I know it's probably the fanboys, but I must say, people should already know Itachi is a medium to Sasuke. Sasuke beating him and being better than him was foreshadowed even in part 1. So yeah, Sasuke can pretty much take out Itachi...
