But are you actually opening the gates or only imagining you that are? You could just be standing there dumbly and imaging the what/if scenario and getting pwned in genjutsu land.

He is not. Genjutsu is transmitted thorugh one of the five senses. even if he is moving fast he can still hear and smell.

I don't think you can. Genjutsu is controlling someones chakra flow. "kai" is a powerful "poke" at your own chakra flow in order to disturb it and throw the controller out. In other words I don't think you can open gates when under genjutsu.

You do need chakra controll for getting out of genjutsu.(Hence why Sakura is skilled at it).

This is also in the manga when Naruto battles Itachi but I am to lazy to fetch it for you.

Against a Genjutsu user like the Itachi... Guy and Rock Lee would probably be in for a world of hurt. Kakashi was completely owned by Itachi. I doubt Guy could handle a user such as Itachi with only Taijutsu.

Guy would do better at it than kakashi since he has trained himself to avoid looking into the sharingan when fighting. Lee would get mashed but Guy's won't get affected as easily by a visual genjutsu user like Itachi.

I'm not so sure. Considering that the Uchiha are apart of Konoha... It is very safe to say that they all have training on how to handle the Sharigan. Example... Asuma.
