[Suggestion] Manga Predictions Contest

Dear NarutoBase staff,

I have a suggestion that is about having a new contest. It is called "Manga Prediction Contest"
So I have stated some proposal rules on the prediction contest.

Ok so the contest will be open weekly after a new chapter is released. So here are the rules:
1.entries of predictions will start after the new chapter is released.
2.last submissions of predictions will be on Tuesday or a day before the new chapter will be released.
3.must be your own prediction.
4. No spamming of predictions. Or else your predictions will be deleted

There will be two. Categories on the winning prediction:
1. Most creative prediction
2. Prediction that is close to the new chapter.

The winner will receive 5 points reputation.
If your prediction won and next week your another prediction won, your 5 points will be 10 points. So this means that if you win consecutively, it will add 5 point per prediction. Like you won for the first time, you will get 5 points, next will be 10, and 15 and so on.

And the one who win 5 predictions straight will receive a medal.

Seems good if there's interest in it.
Could be tricky to keep members from being overzealous though. As in spamming or being mean about it.
But that's regular forum behaviour amongst these, so no problem!

Wow tnx. hmmm maybe let's add that 2 identical threads by the same user will delete the other same thread.

It could work, but 5 rep is a terrible reward for first time they should still be able to get cyan names and the rewards you usually get as they are still putting alot of effort in, same goes for the medal. It should just work like a regular contest.

I agree with this guy. Also, they should PM their predictions to whoever oversees it, to avoid ripping off.

Hmmm~ It could differentiate popular theories and the ones making really popular ones, rewarding them proportionally, but they would all have to be honest about it(the voters).
I mean, you could vote for someone in the creative department just because they're your friend.

Yupp, so that's another point useless to argue about, unless something is done to the core issue.

People could consider it too hard to achieve five consecutive ones and win the medal. It might be discouraging.

Hmmmm ur right.but I was thinking like in order to win continuously, you will need to unleash your creativity and imagination and foreseeing the flow of the story. It's just like u will need to work hard on the prediction. What do u think?

Depends on the individual.
Some might take it like so, others not, my prediction is that overall it will have a discouraging effect, but I'm sure there's easier ways of doing this, not just exactly what.:ghehe:

Goood suggestiond and bout being afraid that your work could be copied i think it can be avoided by the mods that is,if they make the contest invisible to us members like the new mod contest thing and if they is a way to do it the mods can set the submitting date between 1-3 days before the chapter being predicted upon should come out and then they can can judge/re-read all predictions to see which one's closest to the actual scene i think this way could help easy their work but hey how would they read all(i had the mods re few) 50-70 pridiction within some days(like 2-5) unless the contest should be done monthly.

Ur right. Winning a contest is hard and there are lots of members will be participating if the contest will be proven. So do u think we should lessen the consecutive wins in order to get a medal? Or by picking the best I mean the BEST prediction so far in the week either in creativity or the closeness to the chapter?
