The Child of the Prophecy : A student of Jiraiya who will bring about great change to the Ninja World; whether it is peace or destruction depends on how Jiraiya trains the student. Jiraiya believed at different points that the following characters might be the Child of the Prophecy:

Nagato Uzumaki
Minato Namikaze
Naruto Uzumaki

These three did bring about great change and undoubtly some of the most powerful ninjas and some of the only ninjas to rival the likes of Madara and Hashirama. But who was the most powerful one? Most honorable one? Who was the most deserving of the title, Savior of the World.

You put a lot of effort into your thread so I will give more than a word word answer. The Child of Prophecy was the child, who at the time, Jiraiya believed would bring peace to the Narutoverse. Since neither Minato nor Nagato brought peace to the whole world, they weren't actually the Child of Prophecy.
