Was Kabuto still working for Danzo around the time of the Uchiha Massacre? Or was he already working for Orochimaru during that time?

Then he ended up working for Sasori afterwards, then Orochimaru snapped him out of Sasori's Genjutsu and then began working for Orochimaru.

He met him once, when he was very young. But didn't see him again until Sasori had him spy on Orochimaru while under his Genjutsu.

I admittedly am not an expert on Kabuto's timeline, I need to know who Kabuto was working for during the massacre

first met Orochimaru who asked him if he wanted to become a shinobi, stating that the role would suit him, but Kabuto declined. However, after eavesdropping on a conversation Nonō had with Danzō Shimura and hearing the latter's demand for an orphan in exchange for funding, Kabuto instead accepted the offer. From this point onwards, he was tasked with infiltrating various hidden villages, including those of the Five Great Shinobi Countries. During one such assignment in Iwagakure, he was forced to flee after his cover was blown, Kabuto came to question his identity and purpose, when he was once again approached by Orochimaru somewhere after Orochimaru joined Akatsuki and Kabuto was influence by Sasori and was playing double agent. Orochimaru soon found out and Released Kabuto from Sasori's control. Kabuto then stated being a triple agent... So, to answer your question.. It is unknown when Kabuto was re-acquainted with Orochimaru. Judging from Kabuto's age, being young I would say that he was already working for Orochimaru when the Uchiha massacre happened..

Orochimaru gave him a new cover: that he was found amongst the dead enemies after the Battle of Kikyō Pass by a captain of the Konoha Medic Corps, and that captain brought him to Konoha and raised him as a son.He was later sent to serve as Orochimaru's spy to Sasori of Akatsuki, who in turn set him to spy on Orochimaru by using Memory-Concealing Manipulative Sand Technique to transform him into his own sleeper agent. Orochimaru discovered this and released Sasori's control over Kabuto.

Orochimaru must have taken care of that. :y

And in short:

- Kabuto is found by Nonō and start living at the orphanage.

- Three years after that, Danzō, along with Orochimaru and the other unknown guy, take Kabuto in Root.

- Five years after that, Kabuto accidently kills Nonō. Orochimaru finds Kabuto and gives him his new identity. Kabuto starts living in the Leaf. (But, still goes in between hideouts, on secret missions for Orochimaru and stuff like that)

- Orochimaru sends him to spy on Akatsuki. Orochimaru becomes a member of Akatsuki and than leaves. Sasori, without knowing that Kabuto is Orochimaru's spy, sends him to spy on Orochimaru. Orochimaru brakes the technique.

- And than, where we first see him, on the Chunin Exams, and so on.
