Even though i'm sure everyone is aware of this feat, I'm not sure everyone realizes what it means to kill a police force comprised of uchiha. The most overlooked feat in this respect is what occurred on the steps of sasuke's home. I thought it was pretty amazing that he took out 3 jonnin level uchiha all with 3 tomoe in one motion. This is why this is such an amazing feat.
1. A lot of people claim that he had help with the police force during the massacre and that he killed them in their sleep, but in this instance they are wide awake and it is day time.
2. They are jonnin level police and most likely specialize in criminal suppression, but they looked like part 1 Sasuke compared to him, and he was only about 14 at this time.
3. They came under the assumption that he was a murderous criminal, yet this did not prepare them in the slightest for itachi's capabilities even though they know well of his skill.
4. They all were tensed with 3 tomoe already shown, at that moment they are ready for a fight, but despite this in one motion itachi defeats all three them almost simultaneously.
Seeing this, I doubt itachi needed help taking out the entire police force especially with a weapon and in a surprise attack.
Edit: The point is he took on 3 completely ready and waiting uchiha police force members all with 3 tomoe in one motion without having premeditation of assault and on the spot. And they were completely down. So I don't think he really needed help defeating the police force, contrary to what some think about the matter.
