The Hidden Shinobi said:I just re watched the episode and have some explanations for some of the scenes with the kages. For your 4th disappointment the black strips around gaara's dad's eye only came a second before he used his jutsu, re watch it. It seemed dark before but that was just his blacked out eyes.
And for your disappointment 3, gaara's sand was always darker then the sand around the kages. The difference now is, it is dawn so everything is dark right now and getting lighter as time goes on as the sun is still rising. So this is why the sand around the kages is so much darker as well as everybody else. Gaara's sand is a bit darker but is mostly the same, it should have been more darker to show the dawn effect but it wasn't. When the sun has fully risen everything should go back to its normal colours
What has really bugged me about anytime Naruto has gotten in a fight since the war arc has started in the anime is that the anime has completely ruined his speed. I mean, this guy is supposed to be the fastest ninja alive. He outmanuevered the Raikage at full-speed, who is a person who could outmanuever Amaterasu (a theoretically speed-of-light attack). At the very least, he should be flash stepping all over the place. The anime is ruining all semblance of epicness to these characters and their fights. Barring filler, the last decent fight was Sasuke vs Danzo (well, maybe Naruto vs Kyuubi). I don't know how this is still the top shonen series outside of Japan. They should take notes from Bleach's animation crew.
As you suggested, I re watched it and the point(4th disappointment) still remains the same.
In the manga
In the manga, look at the sequence, after the huge wave of sand, he made the seal imagined Ichibi, slammed his hand, the black strips started becoming solid around his eyes, gold dust emerges out.You must be registered for see images
In the anime, after the huge wave of sand, he imagined Ichibi(18:51), the black strips got solid around the eyes(18:55), made the hand seal(18:57), slammed his hand on the ground (18:59), gold dust emerges out.
I was not talking about those blacked out eyes.
I was disappointed with the part of naruto fighting the zetsu's, animated sucked.
they're gonna destroy this arc with this bad animation![]()
Well this was naruto's first encounter with the enemy so nothing has been messed up yet. There was no need to use high speed with the zetsu's waste of chakra, in fact naruto could defeat them standing still. And on his second encounter with the enemy, he came down like a rocket to save those two shinobi. Also against A his speed was displayed well so all in all the anime is doing and ok job "so far". I see what you mean about the zetsu's and he was pretty fast on Toroi, but i was utterly dissapointed by the Raikage vs Naruto deal. Once again, the Raikage dodged Amaterasu and Jugo's Super Kamehameha at point-blank range. He's fast enough to be practically teleporting (seeing as how the only person faster than him WAS teleporting) and yet they both take their time getting from point A to point B. I'll excuse that fight because they most likely did it for padding to stretch the episode. It's just like the way they nerfed the Bijuu bomb. I did a lot of number crunching based of the power of the 4 and 6 tailed mini-bombs and concluded that the Nine tails at full power would be able to blow away earth 4 trillion times (no seriously. I can show you the math if you want). But whatever. I'm glad this isn't like DBZ though....yet. While DBZ had a lot of action, the plot was very shallow. I like Naruto because out of the top 3 anime right now, this one has the best storyline. I just wish that with the action they DO show, they at least take the time to do it right.

they wasted about 7 minutes in the begining with that shit... a f.ing conference in the middle of a war?!
i got really excited when Naruto started fighting the zetsus. wish it would've shown him fighting more rather then switching to gaara and the army.
I loved all the different types of Rasengaan that Naruto used.
good episode, all in all, except for the shitty begining.
Yh I see what you mean but we have to remember just because naruto his in KM doesn't mean he is always blitz speeding. The faster he goes the more chakra he consumes (, he is just going to go as fast as he needs to. Don't assume every time he moves in the manga he was blitz speeding.
Against A I assumed he wasn't going that fast until he dodged the last punch so when I watched the anime it showed exactly how I thought it went.
But others may think he was going really really fast the whole time and went light speed at the last punch, so the anime would seem wrong to them.
I suppose it depends on what the animators take it to be, but I agree with you I hope they do it right. I use the anime to look at speed and peoples fighting style and many other things like that which we can't see in the manga so we need it to be correct.
they're also forgetting that he has bee with him and bee isnt that fast
I know we got into a topic about animation but isn't how accurate the story came to the manga more important in the end? I would have been upset if the episode didn't even come close to the manga. I do admit the beginning was... off. Maybe adding the updates at the end would have been better. That way the episode would have been centered more on the manga.
I rated the episode based on accuracy myself. lol
Well when we talk about the anime we have to take, animation, how close it was to the manga (and if it wasn't was it better than the way the manga did it), how they handled emotional and action scenes and did it feel emotional and how good the action was.
All has to be taken into consideration when reviewing an episode.
I guess the most important thing would be is getting the information accurately across to the viewers. It is all about the information because that's how the story progresses.
Imagine if they anime made tobi kill minato and kushina seal the nine tails into naruto. NO! that is not what happened minato held of tobi and it was his idea to seal kurama into naruto.
Information always tells people why battles are happening and what they are fighting for.
But things like animation, music etc.. create the overall effect of how that information was brought and fans want it to be brought to them correctly, mostly manga readers.
Anime only viewers don't know the actual story so they accept anything. Only manga readers can tell mistakes in the anime as anime only viewers don't know it is a mistake.
Very valid points.
I read the manga and watch the anime and I admit I like things to be almost dead on and not twisted (fillers and coloring are an exception. Just don't give Naruto red hair or something. lol). Someone even brought the poor animation into the Naruto Discussion area. It seems to be more the focus lately than the story itself.
Hopefully better animation will take place in later episodes. I can't imagine the chapters we'e been reading being animated poorly, especially the last 3 chapters. People would explode!
Yh but like I always say when it comes to important episodes the anime never disappoints. Apart from kyuubi naruto vs pein but the animation for the actual fight and for the bits after the kyuubi transformation were great
