Er... maybe it's because I'm an artist, but I prefer the crisp and clear animation from the anime than the blended softness of the game (hurts my eyes). He looks amazing animated in that form either way!

Oh I agree about the line art, it's just the way it's colored is kind of bright. lol

That's true apart from the background of A, the anime resembles the manga more. It's both a mix of the manga I guess. But when we get great animation like, minato vs tobi and sasuke vs itachi I prefer the anime. But then again the games put some epic animation at some points.

You said it better than me. lol I try to see past the poor animation and focus on the story. I like watching the manga come to life in the anime, but you've got to give the game credit for its accuracy occasionally. As long as this episode we all just watched was canon, I really have no complaints myself.

Kishimoto does not control the anime! Animation shouldn't be pinned down on him. In some cases the video game of Naruto does better then the actual show xd

I didn't mind the fillers as much as some people here die, but wow it is very refreshing to get back to the main story. I loved when Gaara and Onoki stepped up to fight the four kages and when the 4th kazekage thought Shukaku was attacking them when he saw Gaara's sand tsunami.

Seriously guys? I don't mind the animation, the animation that I really hated was the Chikara Arc animation... And don't forget, this thread is about Episode 296, not the animation!

What has really bugged me about anytime Naruto has gotten in a fight since the war arc has started in the anime is that the anime has completely ruined his speed. I mean, this guy is supposed to be the fastest ninja alive. He outmanuevered the Raikage at full-speed, who is a person who could outmanuever Amaterasu (a theoretically speed-of-light attack). At the very least, he should be flash stepping all over the place. The anime is ruining all semblance of epicness to these characters and their fights. Barring filler, the last decent fight was Sasuke vs Danzo (well, maybe Naruto vs Kyuubi). I don't know how this is still the top shonen series outside of Japan. They should take notes from Bleach's animation crew.

Oh god, I have bad internet. And that bad internet is stopping me from watching Episode 296 WHEN WILL THIS HORROR END?! I've only watched like 6 minutes and a half of the episodes...

5/5 so happy that they are back with the main story (I liked the filler episodes but I love the really story) I actually like the animation in this episode and the next episode it also looks good. Favorite part was when Gaara did his really big sand wave and the 4th kazakage stopped it. Then Gaara told his dad that he wasn't a jinchūriki anymore. Can't wait for the next episode I am a big Gaara fan so I have been waiting for this episode to be animated, seeing a Gaara flashback I am going to love it.

The only thing that ruined this episode were the animations. They really need to improve it, it makes the overal experience less cool. Excpecially now that the fights are starting.
