lol my first impression of itachi manly when sasuke talked about him and shown a silhouette of him i thought he was bald as the head band covered his hair lol and i thought he was going to be powerful which he was and when he actually appeared it was well awesome

I saw his as a Tough villain. When Kakashi got beat I kinda hated Itachi because at that point Kakashi was my fav. But then when Itachi vs Jiraya happened I felt good because Itachi hyped him and said they were equals. My thought being at least there is someone from the leaf who could stand against him. I also thought that Sasuke has a long way to go if he wants to beat Itachi and I thought that Sasuke will beat Itachi at the very end of Naruto series, their battle being the last one.

I considered him the strongest to a point where Pain,Tobi and Minato were in the shadows.

First of all Itachi says that even the strong Heroes have weaknesses so Itachi rapes Jiraiya anyways, since he knows that everyone has a weakness

Second of all it's not stated in the Manga but when you watch the Anime, Kisame says He's with 1 of the Legendary sannins meaning that they were talking about Naruto, and Itachi wasn't even telling the truth lol, Itachi owns Naruto anyday.
