are you sure. 1, Kimmimaru wasn't healthy and 2, Kimmimaru was holding back the lion's share of his power until Gaara arrived.

1. We've never seen Kimmimaru healthy so i can only base a rough assumption on how he would fight
2. Like i said, that was lee and there is a huge gap between lee and gai even w/o gates

True but then again. Kimmimaru was fighting kids. Though I will give you that we can only assume how a healthy Kimmimaru would fight, I still don't think it would be as easy to defeat him without at least a few gates. Let's not forget about the 2nd level curse seal

He's got the speed to dodge most of kimmis moves moves, strong fist and dynamic entry repeatidly , it actually all depends if kimmi can land a hit on gai.

Since oro was horbouring kimmi for so long I believe he is strong so then again this battle could go both ways

this is interesting gaara said he crushes all the minerals in the earth into sand but he couldn't crush kimimaro even a tsunami of sand couldn't get the job done, i think it all depends on weather you think guy can break kimimaro's bones (he can control their density so they can become as hard as he wants.) hitting kimimaro is risky since he's a taijutsu master and can sprout bones from any part of his body at any time, infact he can make a layer of bone beneath his skin protecting him from attacks as deadly as imperial sand coffin. IMO if guys attack couldn't break kisame's bones then i dont see how they'll break kimmimaro's bones i dont even know how guy can make him bleed without breaking his legs. guy cannot break kimimaro's bones and fighting a guy who can sprout bones from anywhere on is body or the ground in close combat is suicide.

if kisame took morning peacock and hirudora and was still alive then someone as durable as kimimaro who was revered by oro for having what oro called the greatest taijutsu ability definitely can, even against a tsunami of sand and all of gaaras crushing techs that make peoples bodies implode he only died because of his sickness gaara couldn't actually kill him. or we could just use the databook but untill a fourth one comes out i don't think they are really relevant.

True, but we must admit he wasn't weak. In the databook he has 3O, 5 points, which means he is easily Jounin level.
