How many of you actually enjoy college?

So I'm sitting here in my class right now (yea this is almost always what I do) and I really just want to claw my eyes out. I have never enjoyed school and the thought that I have to go through 7 more years (I PLANNED to go to Law school after) is just mind-boggling. I'm only 19 and I'm young and my whole life is ahead of me, yea I get it, but I see people working hard all day for their lives and I honest feel like I do not contribute to life in any form, and that upsets me. I have talked to many of my college buddies and they all say it's great. Yea it's a hell of a lot better than high school, but that's not a huge improvement.

So I wanted to get your guys opinions (Graduated, Pre-grad, High school) on what you actually like about college. And then maybe you guys can inspire me to do something worthwhile. Well, they always say that school is the best time of your life but that's bullshit...more exactly, I liked elementary school, then highschool was not bad but not that good either, now college sucks....

Even the ones I like are boring. I'm not DOING anything. I'm listening to a man, talk about a subject that has no bearing on anything other than my capacity to take it in. This information will be retained just long enough to take a quiz and then it will be put into the recesses of my mind. The end.

I'm in the same situation, sorta. 19 yrs old, almost 20, quit college few months back, and clueless to where I want to go.

Eh, it's what you make of it. Take more classes that interest you. If you can't, well...I'm sorry.
I personally just enjoy the learning.

I had enjoyed it up until they completely dropped my grades 4 letters for no reason, but ill be switching to a school in florida where i can offically learn to be an auto tech installer, pretty much ill be able to install sound systems

In my field a masters is unnecessary and can be bypassed. Some of the PhD programs I'm applying to will give you a masters after a couple years as kind of a pat on the back, but it doesn't mean anything. Also, I've theoretically done enough work as an undergraduate to earn a masters short of actually writing a thesis.

Highschool was boring for me. Didn't enjoy it at all. College is much better. People are more mature and lectures are way better. I have more free time now which is great. Its a pity you find it so tedious. Maybe you're not doing what you really want :shrug:

I just went through the first semester, straight A's ;p But, the level of my college is pretty damn low. Most of the people are like, yeah whatever, but you can also find the people that actually care about college. I like my college because it's not expensive and it's close to my house.

I'm suprised how much I actually have in common with you. I'm also 19, in my first year of college, and am looking at another 7 years on deck w/ law school. I was very disappointed my first semester and didn't have much fun at all, outside of football games. I guess where we differ is I'm starting to have more fun now and work harder in school. I don't know if you have a goal but I do and it really helps me to work towards that goal. It's a very satisfactory feeling.

Not sure if you're saying you don't like the school or social aspect to college, but as someone going through the exact same thing I can tell you it's gonna get better faster than you think.

I'm 18, will start college soonish. I would like to say that perhaps not everyone is meant for school and studying, after all- book smart doesn't mean you're the smartest in life. Just take your own path in life, do what you feel it best for you and never regret your choices.

I enjoy my college. Yeah sometimes its boring especially when u dont like the subject and the prof but its not always like that and besides I like being with my classmates and i'm happy with my course.
