Shouldn't Gai be 2 years older than Kakashi?

I just thought about it because I remembered people saying(to make Tobito theory more believable) that Obito is 4 years older than Kakashi because of his Academy Graduation age(9). Well, Gai graduated at 7, while Kakashi, being a genius he is, at 5; but they are both 30 Is it Kishi's retcon? The same with Asuma/Kurenai(who are 31, but graduated at 9 like Obito, but became chuunins a year later) and some other jounins.

I just ignore databook ages now. Just look at chapter 599 and you'll see major flaws.

Kakashi became a chuunin at 6, and Obito became a Genin at 9. Yet they both took the Chunin exam at the same time, which means that Obito took the Chuunin exam before he became a Genin. LOL

Also, we saw Anko and Hayate take the same exam, which means that they were only 1 and 3 years old when they took that exam, which completely contradicts with their databook facts (Anko became Genin at 10, Hayate at 12).

Bottom line: Don't trust ages in the Naruto world. Kishi doesn't know how to use it.

No. Just because you graduated early, it doesn't mean that you're older.
They're all the same age. But became those ranks at different points in time.
