Don't say "itachi wanted peace", because if I'm not mistaken, he killed his clan, and kept his brother alive, forcing him to live with a big ass hole in his heart, thinking it was the best decision.

Sasuke is obsessed about avenging his clan. Guess what he already did so by killing Danzo: the one who brought on its destruction (ignoring the fact they stupidly planned revolt).

Obito thinks he should control the free will of everyone because he apparantly knows how true peace should be. He basically started a war to bring back Rin instead of just taking Madara's eyes from Obito and using Rinne Tensei....if he really loved her, he'd die for her.

Madara left his village because he wasn't chosen as Hokage....he views everyone as insignificant if they lack power.

Itachi and Sasuke's parents planned to revolt.

It really isn't the clan so much as the personality of those who bear the name....too many of them turn our to just be rediculous.

Nobody really hates the Uchiha's. Its just the principle of their actions. Its a power hungry clan that will go against their own family and or abuse Forbidden techniques to the point where a new jutsu must be developed to punish those who use it (Izanami invented because of Izanagi). I mean really, the concept screams distrust from the beginning. They were never vying for peace until the equally if not stronger clan, the Senju's proposed peace, and thus Madara couldn't accept (On his own terms).

Sasuke according to the third databook is the 3rd most popular character (Behind Naruto and Kakashi respectively), so even with this "hate" you speak of, he still maintains popularity on behalf on most of the Uchiha's in the story. Its pointless creating this thread since you tried to address this as if we all (As in everyone from NB) feel the same way. Nobody should be forced into liking a certain character(s) because someone says so, nor so should their dislike based on the premise that a character's personality annoys them be dismissed because "you say so".

And this is coming from someone who has two Uchiha's in his top 5 favourite characters in the series (Itachi and Madara, however I am debating about Madara, might switch to Hashirama but right now its still Madara).
