Rasengan v.s Chidori

if it has been stated that "Wind is strong against lightning because it is a natural electrical insulator" then how come every time narutos uses his rasengan against sasukes chidori, naruto doesnt seem to defeat him but it seems like they just cancel each other out.

Rasengan is just the manipulation of chakra. Nothing more, nothing less.
Whereas Rasenshuriken is chakra and nature (wind) manipulation.

You are right but remember his wind style training
He was using a wind style rasengan to counter Kakashi's Rasengan

And
Kakashi stated that not even the fourth coulld add his chakra to the Rasengan while Naruto could
This means he added HIS WIND STYLE TO IT

rasengan itself is not filled with a chakra nature. it is pure manipulation of chakra plain and simpple whereas rasenshuriken is filled with a chakra nature. wind style.

FAIL, Rasengan isn't fuuton, it's simple shape manipulation and chakra rotation and is still more destructive then chidori, chidori is just

Dude no one is saying that Naruto can't apply his nature to the rasengan. WE are however arguing about rasengan not the modified Rasenshuriken. And Rasengan does NOT have a nature. (If it had wind it would be rasenshuriken.

Rasengan=Chidori if not even a small edge to Chidori since it actually has beaten rasengan once (final valley). But if a Kirin would hit a rasenshuriken the Shuriken would go through simply because of element advantage. So if you compare Jutsu vs jutsu it's Rasenshuriken>Kirin.

However if you compare user vs user where one had rasenshuriken and the other had a ready to go Kirin, the kirin user would kill the other guy long before he had even started rotating his hand obviously.
