Naruto's universe is interessant, because no one is pure good and no one is pure evil. The story was developed for us to create some empathy with konoha-nins and think they're the good guys, but if you try to look at the so called villains, they're still fighting for what they think is good. Switch sides and think this manga is about nagato... what would be our reaction to this very same fight?
Now answering your question, I saw something different on him after she said her famous setences. For sure, he had a reaction (positive or negative I don't know) about hinata's declaration.

That what I think too.Pain doesnt really know what it takes to turn Naruto into fox, so maybe he just tried one stab, and was planning on stabbing her untill he transformed?

It is very hard to tell just what exactly Kishi's plans are for Hinata. Is she special? Or is she simply kept around with the rest of the Rookie 9? So far, none of them have died yet. Kishi may be granting them a bit of plot armor for no real reason other than to have them live through the series, existing for little purpose.

I don't think Nagato "felt" any emotion at Hinata's speech, but that he just "processed" in his mind: the girl is fair, someone who is ready to risk her life for another one knowing she's no match does not deserve to die".

I'm just glad that Hinata is alive, it would really sucks if she died after all the confessing thing to Naruto....I'm so anxious to see what will happen after all this fight, when naruto and hinata see each other again....I wonder how will naruto react in front of hinata, and what he will say to her, after she confessed.....

sasuke should have died. what i cant believe even more than that is what the 8 tails said. that sasuke was one of the strongest oponents he has fought. the 8 tails has fought the raikage so he is gonna be THE strongest then and then the 8 tails started to live in a tank if what he said was true. i mean there are soooo many people that are better than sasuke and to read that somone is comparing him to a kage blows my mind.

look sasuke was the ultimate match for deidara and almost died. how can he be considered to be near kage level?!
honestly i rate tenten higher in my fave list than sasuke.
if kishi can make me like him i would call him GOD. cause i doubt even any god can make me like this character without changing every aspect of him (cloths, hair, personality, maybe give him some scars on his FACE to make his face look cool-ish, change his MS, stop these pathetic women from putting sasukes exsistance above the world and make him a better fighter so that he is actually at the level described)
oh and i dont think pein stabbed hinata's vitals on purpose. i think he just wanted her out the way and to make naruto rage
