Dont compare the fight they had 3 years ago. For amaterasu gaara only has to put sand in front of him at anytime. For susano he already prove he can block it with his sand like he did against madara. Sasuke is weak with genjustu i would be stupid to use it because it hurts him when he does. Like i said the only way sasuke can win is with lightning jutsu and try to out run gaara with speed if he is fast enough but i doubt it .

And maybe i missed 1 or 2 chapter but when did sasuke got izanami anyway?

Gaara never blocked Amatersu, but Enton. It was a much much weaker form of Amatersu. Sasuke is weak at genjutsu compared to Itachi, not as a stand alone genjutsu user. He was able to put A's jounin under genjutsu for the whole fight. For a weak genjutsu user, that is quite enough.

People seem to be forgetting a few things. firstly This is MS sharingan discussion, not EMS. Secondly Gaara wouldn't need to be quick enough to block amaterasu, he can just encase himself completely and use his third eye to see what's going on. Gaara should be able to drag Sasuke out of Susanoo just like he did with Madara. Chidori did pierce gaaras sand in part 1 however that was a long time ago, sasuke has gotten stronger and faster but gaaras become kazekage since then and has gotten stronger as well. Even if it might still be enough to pierce the sand its definetly not sure that it will, and also gaara will most likely be better prepared at such an attempt this time.

That being said I'd give the edge to Gaara on this one. I still think MS Sasuke is the stronger of them, it's just that Gaara is a complete mismatch for him.

we are talking gaara, the guy who caught the sandaime raikage, nidaime tsuchikage, nidaime mizukage, yondaime kazekage and madara himself off guard with his sand. against sasuke?

for starters, EMS and MS are no different in power, EMS just allows the user to spam the abilities without going blind, NEVER FORGET THAT. had Madara not been an immortal self regenerating zombie then gaara would have just crushed his limbs when he caught him.

everyone is also forgetting that gaara can use his sand to turn soil, rocks and general earth into more sand, this means gaara would only be disadvantaged at sea.

also, he uses his sand to sense peoples whereabouts so he doesnt have to make eye contact to fight against any genjutsu user

this being said, only plot could save sasuke

Gaara has some chance of winning. He can block Amateratsu, and he doesn't need to make eye contact in his fights since they are long range attacks. Even though Chidori has improved and was previously able to pierce the sand of gaara, Gaara's shield is now much different, and may be able to block it. Even if he didn't and it was like chunin exams, it would buy a lot of time fore gaara to move away, since it took about half a mintute for chidori to fully pierce sand armor. Sand burial or sand pyramid crushes Sasuke, and he has already proven to be able to take out Madar out of his Susano'o so he should easily take Sasuke out.

What is this non sense im reading. Of course Gaara can beat MS sasuke. Gaara has proven that he is more then capable of defeating MS sasuke w/ mid to low difficulty.

1. Gaara is a long range fighter and can fly. So Genjutsu wont work, because he wont be able to get close enough to Gaara to use it.


2. Gaara has already shown that sasuke's Susanoo is useless. Seeing as Gaara can pull him out.

Yes, beyond the Gokage, as Obito knew. The only reason they're all not dead is owed to the sheer fact that Sasuke was focused primarily on Danzo. He could have simply walked in there and killed everyone with black fire if he wanted to.

It was actually the opposite. None of them, especially Tsuchikage, respected his power, and it's again meaningless since Danzo was representing the strongest village. Danzo was going to be considered as leader for the alliance, not Gaara.

Gaara's attack only worked on Madara because the sand was already under his feet. Sasuke isn't dumb enough to stand on sand, and he still has the advantage with his lightning chakra.

Which is meaningless considering Sasuke's highest Susanoo would destroy Gaara with ease, if Madara's Susanoo can crush his defenses so easily.
