Would Guns Have Made Shinobis Obsolete?

Not obsolete but many shinobi would be struck down if they lack godlike speed or anything to cover themselves or trick their foes with.

In DBZ, the Z fighters and their enemies aren't even human. In Naruto, even a Kunai stabbing a legend in the heart or brain would kill them because they are still human. Though there are ways that could be avoided if they aren't caught by surprise.


PS: In my opinion, guns would make Naruto battles less entertaining since the action wouldn't be the same. Even though Nagato's Asura Path is filled with fire weapons...

Ye but its not like the Asura Path did all that much damage in battle
He mostly took a hit for Tendo and shot a rocket at Choji
He got destroyed by Naruto in a single blow

Yup, bullets most definitely shoot faster than sasuke's susanno arrow.. and kaakshi etc stated it was impossible for him to make handseals due to how fast the arrow moves.. so bullets would indeed be able to kill alot of ninjas easily..

In the Novel about Sasuke i think its called "The thunder chronicles: the day the wolf howled" the whole gunpowder/firearms/cannons conception is actually mentioned and may have a relevants... not too spoile too much but a village (not one of the big 5) goes from a Ninja village too a normal cause of it..

most characters in naruto have enough power to shatter solid rock or even a small mountain, most if not all are able to destroy a full grown tree with a punch or a kick, a bullet does have a lot of power although less than a strike that leaves craters in the ground but it's concentrated in a very tiny spot so it depends on how chakra defends people in Naruto (I presume chakra acts like a shield since no living thing would survive a stone shattering hit)

U can say ninjas could counter guns with stealth and Justus all day but ppl with guns can also use stealth, take a good sniper for example if that existed you could be a mile away and snipe a hyuga and he'd never know, Madura could have lost to guy a with a Barrett. And don't forget guns would lead to more and more weapons like cannons, artillery and such n such all the way to modern day weapons.

Hyuga's have Byakugan and can see through stealth.

By what they do to their surrounding, if a shinobi was hit with one it should destroy and mangle their body. However, they walk away with scrapes and minor injuries. I agree, even if there were firearms in Naruto it wouldn't really hamper the military might of the Shinobi Villages, if ordinary people in the real world can dodge gunfire, what more for ninjas
