Madaras control of Rinnegan

For someone who studied forbidden techs you think he would be using the Rinnegan more in the fight before controlling the juubi. For his personality i would think since he just got a new toy ie rinnegan he would test out its power. Like he did for the Juubi. I mean maybe I didn't notice it, but did he ever use the Rinnegan?

Where in the manga is an example of him using rinnegan? The meteor would be one. But, you would think he would play with his new found abilities with his personality. I relate alot to Madaras toying personality and I would totalllyy use my new powers ie his new wood element.

he had it activated when usking the major mokuton and he had it on when the 5 kage were fighting the wood clones

I think he used Preta Path once or twice, but that's it, really. Maybe using Deva Path would've been a too easy win for him since he wanted to play around, plus, with him showing off his Mokuton instead of Rinnegan, we can get an idea of Hashirama's power.

Interesting I see. It was probably this reason most likely then. Kishi wanted us to see just how strong Hashirama was instead of showing rinnegan for the 3rd time. But still I feel Nagato formed a base of the power of Rinnegan not the top. I wanted to see Madara show them what it could really do in terms of strength not just controlling the Juubi.
