Minato's rasengan is curiously around the same size as Naruto's Odama rasengan, so maybe they are equal

kakashi's back then. when I was reading that chapter I was thinking how the hell a normal r could handle mighty rs...
kakashi may nearly perfected it with time and intelligence, plus for naruto at that time, his rs couldn't be called a decent one.

This might be outrageous to say but judging by how he saw Naruto as his former sensei, I believe so. However we can speculate why Kakashi did that on many levels. But that's just my opinion though
