Theory: I guess this is how the manga will end
I've read threads and comments talking about a some sort of a time skip, like what they did from Naruto to Naruto Shippuuden, or Dragonball Z to GT. It's pretty intelligent to stand at those authors' positions. I somehow agree to the feasibility of this twist but I kinda thought of my own. There will be a time skip and it will be the ending of the series, and not opening to another one. So, here how it goes how I played with the time skipping idea (just mind the time skip, not the sequence/prediction of events, just used them as a sample):
1. Yes, they will win the effin war, but it will take more chapters.
2. We will see Sasuke get his powerup/learn new stuff from the one you know who
3. He will battle with Orochimaru once again then win.
4. He sets off to join the war and be the third side, but not complete battling with the alliance, just Madara & Tobi.
5. Alliance and Sasuke wipes the villains (but yeah they're not friends).
6. Many supporting characters and fodders died, of course.
7. Naruto and Sasuke will talk and gain respect from each other, respecting each others' paths.
8. Sasuke leaves with his team, but Karin stays in Konoha.
9. Then, there, this will where the time skip will enter.
10. Naruto becomes hokage, for real, and everyone in his batch is in Yondaime's age when he died, mid to late 20's.
11. There will be new couples, newborn babies perhaps, and growth of Konohamaru.
12. The villages are still united and peaceful.
13. However there will still organizations that will disturb the peace. Evil will never be absent in the ninja world.
14. Sasuke becomes more famous when it comes to power, darkness, and becomes a legendary figure like Orochimaru, but is still out of Konoha, wandering silently among the villages.
15. Sasuke will be shown, meeting up with Naruto at the Valley of End.
16. Just for satisfaction and the ending for the series, it will be a legendary fight, both dying in the end, with great respect for each other.
There, you have it. For me, they will die in their final battle but, they won't die young. After the war, Sasuke's life will just be silent, waiting for the best time having his fight with Naruto. It's because he can't/won't/will never go back to Konoha. For his satisfaction and a happy death, it will be better if it will be in a battle between his friend, Naruto. Go, discuss!
