Requirements for Naruto to become Hokage

So for everyone that thinks Tsunade has to die in order for Naruto to become Hokage then shouldn't Kakashi have to die too since he would be the next likely candidate for the title because he's a smart leader and has more experience than Naruto while being strong too?

P.S. He's one of my favorite characters and I don't really want him to die, but it would make sense, no?

no minato became hokage but there were other choices such as Hiashi or Tsunade or even Danzo but the 3rd still chose Minato so why should Naruto have to wait for Kakashi to die this isnt some lineage type thing

Kakashi never wanted to become hokage in the first place...so if it comes down to that he will step aside...

I believe it has been stated in the manga that the hokage is the strongest ninja in the village. Naruto would be a great, inspiring leader and he is much stronger than Kakashi. I think that maybe Tsunade survives but pulls a Sarutobi and gives the position to Naruto

OT: Hoping both of them survive the war. Even if they did die, Naruto couldn't be Hokage yet.
