How did muu know it was the rasengan

in chapter 553 when naruto does the planetary rasengan, muu noticed it was the rasengan, but the rasengan was made wayyyy after muu dies, because muu was alive during madara's time (as we can see during the tsuchikage's flashbacks). So did kishi mess up?
