I think taking away guns is the right thing to do. I admit a lot of what the military and police were doing violently was wrong. But all i can say is, who fully trusts the government and their decisions anyway

I was pretty young when these events occured, & didn't look into it until now.

I was young too, mind you. That didn't stop me from understanding. Or perhaps are you saying that your family deliberately sheltered you from the truth?

Didn't watch t.v at all I was a pretty active kid, & I don't think my family even know of the marital law.

There is a difference between not watching tv, and being educated or at least informed. there's a new thing called books and they keep track of everything that's important, if you bother to look. Or newspapers, but it's rare that you find a free press in the Americas. plus today we have the internet!

I doubt they had any kind of books relating to Katrina when I was in elementary, at the same time kids were not allowed to go into the library during lunch.

but there were books on terrorism, martial law and other government policies and laws. There are plenty of books on hurricanes and previous situations. I was elementary school too. Yet my family informed me of the facts and let me come to an understanding of the situation myself. I had also read about and been informed on government laws of conduct.
