The idea of X character "solo"ing Y character is a bad idea and wrong concept
People have this mindset that characters are measured in their strength based on who they could defeat in 1v1 battle with no exterior influence. This is a REALLY BAD way of judging strength. Remember what Itachi, Guy and Kakashi all said?
Itachi: Those that are strong are the ones who recognize their failings and weaknesses
Guy: The strength of your friends is an important part of personal strength too
Kakashi: The most important skill for a ninja is teamwork!
Basically, I think the framer's intent is that no one can be strong if they fight by themselves. those that are strong are the ones who recognize that they can't do everything by themselves and trust their friends to make up for what they lack, and in turn do everything in their power to help their friends. Strength in this series is judged by the strength of your bonds with your teammates. Sure, Madara can make giant meteors fall from the sky. Sure, Pain had God Powers. Sure, Sasuke has EMS and Susanoo. Sure, Naruto has the Kyuubi and all it's power, but in the end, it's all pointless. Those who persevere and stay true to their friends are the ones that always win in the end, even if the opponent appears to be physically stronger. That is the lesson that Kishimoto is teaching us.
"Someone like you who's let his soul rot, can't measure up to someone with a real soul just by getting some power."
-Dante (Devil May Cry)
