Thread regarding what is The Final Message on The Uchiha Tablet since this is what this thread has lead to in its' discussion:
Hey guys. Okay so bear with me, this isn't my original theory, infact i simply copied it from someone else's post on another forum because I saw nothing like this theory on this forum and I though the Narutobase users should see this. I take no credit for this, but it sure as hell is the best and most well thought out theory i have read regarding the Sage of Six Paths, Enjoy.
Madara said something about "the secrets of his body" and condemned Kabuto for knowing it and yet not even being able to read the Uchiha's stone tablet, so I would guess that the Sage wrote down some secrets for his ancestors about how to unlock some hidden chakra capacity or Kekkei Genkai that would otherwise be dormant. I know that Madara went to great lengths to obtain the DNA of Hashirama, and that Tobi was also given this DNA. Danzo's form was refered to as incomplete because he didn't inherit either of the powers he took.
When Kabuto mentioned that he believed Madara took Hashirama's power after fighting him at the Valley of the End, Madara's first reaction was to look down his shirt. He then notes that Kabuto prepared well. Madara was revived, so he probably looked down to confirm whether or not something he had when he was alive was still there, and telling Kabuto he prepared well means it's likely that whatever he was looking for was there. So, I would assume that since this is in response to having taken Hashirama's DNA, Madara was checking to confirm whether he had been revived with Hashirama's power and said Kabuto prepared well when he did. Madara's own DNA wouldn't re-create the part of Hashirama that Madara inserted into himself later in his life, so Kabuto would've had to modify Madara's revived body himself in order to restore Madara's power to what it was when he died.
When Madara, later in that same chapter, used Hashirama's Wood Style, he said he wanted to "try" it. That means that he hadn't used the jutsu before. For him to have the jutsu after defeating Hashirama at the Valley of the End and then not use it between then and the time he died (likely during the Second Ninja World War) suggests that he actually did not implant Hashirama's DNA into himself until later, meaning that the final requirement for unlocking the Rinnegan may very well be obtaining the DNA of a Senju. Madara mentioned the Uchiha Stone Tablet, and this tablet is read progressively using the Sharingan, Mangekyo, and Rinnegan. Since the section read with the Sharingan tells the reader how to obtain the Mangekyo, logically the section with the Mangekyo would tell the reader how to unlock the Rinnegan, which would be the final step in reaching the power the Sage of the Six Paths once had. Since the Senju's power is described as the power of the body, it makes sense that the final requirement for upgrading the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan into the Rinnegan would be taking the power of a Senju, thereby unlocking "the secret of the body".
Also, I feel that there's something missing. Kabuto said he wanted to learn the truth behind Ninjutsu and the secret of the Sage of the Six Paths. Now, for him to say this, he must already have enough data to realize that there's some secret about the Sage of the Six Paths, some aspect that did not survive when the myths and legends were passed down. Or, perhaps something that the Sage himself kept from other people. The Sage left behind the tablet for the Uchiha as a record and an instruction to unlock the Rinnegan (at least, from what I've concluded), but I'm still uncertain whether or not the final section, which is read with the Rinnegan, is related to the secret of the Sage and the truth behind Ninjutsu.
As I've said before, the first section of the tablet tells a Sharingan user how to obtain the Mangekyo, so logically, and infering from Madara's mention of the tablet in relation to his own power, we can assume the rest of the tablet tells the user how to eventually reach the Rinnegan. I'm simply skeptical as to whether or not the final section of the tablet has ever been read, and if so, by who.
Madara Uchiha, Tobi (Uchiha), and Nagato Uzumaki are the only three people to have the Rinnegan in their lives after the Sage's death. So, whatever the Sage left behind on that tablet can only be read by those three people. Madara Uchiha claimed to have awakened the Rinnegan shortly before his death, so that leaves it unclear whether or not Madara managed to read the final section of the Uchiha Tablet before he died. Madara himself has yet to show the same type of space/time Ninjutsu that Tobi has, so it's possible that Tobi inserted one of Madara's Rinnegan into himself after Madara died before he gave both of the eyes to Nagato, and read the final section of the tablet while Madara did not.
Madara and Tobi together collaborated on the Moon's Eye Plan, but Kabuto, who told Madara that he was on his side, said he was unsure if the fake Madara (Tobi) would act as planned. Tobi himself seems to carry the exact same motivation that Madara has for wanting to put the world under Mugen Tsukuyomi, and has described his own plan in the same way, so I believe that the factor that would cause Tobi to diverge his plans would be the secret of the Sage of the Six Paths that Tobi read from the Uchiha tablet, that Madara was unable to read.
If you ask me, I would say that despite preaching peace, the Sage's final acts are what have given Madara and Tobi the tools to destroy the world. The Sage made the Senju ancestor his personal successor, but at the same time, he left behind a stone tablet for the Uchiha ancestor which told the Uchiha about how to obtain the Mangekyo and achieve a power capable of controlling the Tailed Beasts, which he himself created. Yet, the Sage also (likely) described how to obtain the Rinnegan, and to date it is known that only someone with the Rinnegan can control the Gedo Mazo, a beast with nine eyes that appears almost entirely designed to store the Tailed Beasts' chakra. The Sage of the Six Paths could easily have created the Gedo Mazo using Izanagi in the same way that he created the Tailed Beasts and then have the "contract" required to summon the Gedo Mazo be the Rinnegan.
Yet, even this leaves more mystery about what the final section of the tablet says. The section of the tablet read with the Sharingan tells the user how to obtain the Mangekyo Sharingan, which leads to being able to control the Tailed Beasts. The section then read with the Mangekyo, as it can be inferred, would tell the reader how to obtain the Rinnegan and summon the Gedo Mazo. But then, what does the section read with the Rinnegan tell the user? The first two sections of the tablet, which we can assume Madara has read, give the reader all the necessary tools to recreate the Ten-Tails and cast Mugen Tsukuyomi. If the third section of the tablet told the reader how to obtain a new power, this power could only alter that plan considerably. Hence, Kabuto's concern that Tobi may not act as planned.
So, basically, Kabuto has concluded that the final part of the Uchiha Tablet would tell the reader the "secret of the Sage of the Six Paths" and the "truth behind Ninjutsu", completing the ultimate set of tools that the Sage of the Six Paths left behind to be used to carry out the Moon's Eye Plan. Madara went ahead with the plan using these tools before reading the final piece of the tablet, but unlike Madara, Tobi did read the entire thing.
Even as far as I get here, the only thing I can theorize is that the final piece of the Moon's Eye Plan is different from what we know, and that only Tobi knows what it is. However, I can speculate that Sasuke will be used, because in the Moon's Eye Plan that Tobi first described to the Gokage, Sasuke played no ultimate part. Yet, Tobi has been intently focused on controlling Sasuke and having him reach greater and greater power.
This may be why Kabuto wanted Sasuke. If Sasuke is the final tool in a grand plan that the Sage set out for his descendants, then Kabuto may wish to study Sasuke for the sake of learning what potential Sasuke carries that might alter the Moon's Eye Plan. What sort of difference could Sasuke have from every other normal Uchiha that would make him so crucial to the Moon's Eye Plan? Or, is it simply the fact that he's the only other living Uchiha that makes him necessary?
If this is all true, I'm certainly looking forward to the climax of the battle against Tobi to see what final role Sasuke may play in the Moon's Eye Plan.
