Not trying to excuse him or anything, but when you have an entire fandom calling you stupid, idiot, desilusional and so many other things just because you happen to like NaruSaku or Sakura, then we can talk.
The reason my OTP became NaruSaku is because of NaruHina's fans hate and constant bullying. I was a former SS/NH OTP-ist until I abandoned it and now I am just a simple shipper. However, the hate still comes from all sides.

Of course, you don't know what that is, that's why it's easier to excuse yourself and judge.

Not saying what happened to you is to be torn apart or anything else, however, try to understand from where he comes.
