Kensei is a serious and decisive individual, though he is easily annoyed and is rather temperamental, often to a fault. His aggressive behaviour is particularly noticeable in combat. At one point, he confesses that he is not mature enough to hold back, even against a child. Despite this, Kensei is at times a caring individual, though his attempts at being kind are often offset by his aggression.

Wind Release Background Info.
History: Kensei was born in the famous village of Konohagakure. Little is known about his mother who died in the Third Shinobi War when he was still a child. His father was also a shinobi and a very loving and caring man. But once he came back from the Third Shinobi War, it was discovered that he was crippled and could not ever go back to being a shinobi. This made life extremely difficult for Kensei's family. His father was unable to provide for his family so Kensei had to resort to stealing to get by.
However that all changed one fateful day.
Kensei had gained a reputation and had drawn the attention of most of the villagers. Most villagers thought nothing of it but one very irritable shinobi had decided to take action and stop Kensei's spree. During the night, the shinobi broke into his home and took both Kensei and his father hostage. Then right in front of Kensei's eyes, the shinobi stabbed Kensei's father. Enraged, Kensei took another kunai from the shinobi's pouch and repeatedly stabbed him to death. He rushed over to his mortally wounded father and with his last dying breath, he asked Kensei to turn his life around.
At his father's grave, Kensei vowed to become strong enough to protect his loved ones and prevent this from ever happening again. He then enrolled in the Ninja Academy and became a genin at the age of 8. He gained a reputation for being overly aggressive and scaring most of his fellow class mates and even some of the instructors.
