Just thought Id point out that:

Kabuto could have fully controlled edo Madara if he wanted to (he only wanted to see Madaras power I guess).

If itachi hadnt come and pwned kabuto, edo madara would never roam free.

yeah, I guess. never seen a post on it though ^^ just thought Id point it out since people say he saved the alliance when he in fact, ironically, made it worse.

Edo Madara could have broken his link to Kabuto at any time, so it doesn't matter.

Your entire point is under the assumption that Kabuto had the intention of fully controlling Madara again. It's clear Kabuto wanted to see his full potential, so no, redirect your hate elsewhere, Madara could have broken free when he wished to.

In taking sides I believe as Madara stated, he himself broke the contract of edo tensei in order to escape being thrown back into death, unfortunately Itachi's actions did not entirely factor into Madara's capability of release, in consideration of his own word, Madara may not have broken free earlier due to the risk he had mentioned upon breaking the contract.

Then why didn't he immediately instead of when the binding was at its weakest?

And Darui caused the possibility of reviving the Juubi by sealing Gin/Kin bros :)

I'd rather have edo madz roam free than to be controlled by a sniveling nerd like Kabuto

Kabuto simply states that Madara is capable of being stopped. He doesn't explicitly state that he had the intention of controlling Madara again, Itachi kind of contributed to Madara's release but not entirely, is what I'm saying.
