her family is surely more wealthy than most in the village. i believe its more a symbol of hierarchy though than anything, it did say recently that hyuga was the oldest and strongest family in konoha.

you dont see any other hyuga being courted by someone different than a hyuga...idk how i feel about this weeks chp regarding naruhina but hanabi is the heir to the hyuga clan. unless her dad changed his mind somewhere in in the last 300 chps or something, hinata isnt exactly important to the clan's survival anymore.

i personally think that their family is quite wealthy compared to other families in Konoha.. but, it is a misconception that being aristocratic or noble = being wealthy.. a poor nobleman is as old as nobility itself.. in the real world, The Duke of Manchester doesn't have any real money and was once convicted for attempting to sell a rental car and in 2012, the Duke was arrested in Las Vegas after he had allegedly written a cheque in the amount of $3,500 for which he did not have the funds, while some like the Spencers owns the majestic Blenheim Palace and Althorp House and collectively (both the Duke of Marlborough and Earl Spencer) has almost $700 Million worth of wealth, so i don't see anything being wrong if the Hyugas are wealthy, while the Uchihas, Akamichis and Aburames are quite middle class financially..
