Common Misconception about the Eternal Mangekyo.

Just wanted to clear it up once and for all as people always seem to be confused on this particular matter..

It has never been stated at all that to obtain the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan you would have to transplant the eyes of a sibling, That is not a fact.

To obtain EMS you need to transplant the eyes of another Uchiha with Mangekyo, it doesn't necessarily have to be a brother, the eyes have to compatible that's all, Siblings make for better compatability which is why so far we've only seen it with brother.

In short Obito is very capable of possessing EMS and may already have it, Just because we haven't seen it yet doesn't mean it wont or hasn't already happened, i'm sure before Kakashi took Obito's eye it would have been though impossible for anyone other than an Uchiha to use the Sharingan to it's full potential.

He does not have EMS. All he has is MS. The reason he hasn't begun to lose his sight is because he hasn't used Tsukuyomi, Amaterasu, or Susano'o. Itachi, Sasuke, and apparently Madara are the only Uchiha shone to use such jutsu (it may be unique to their bloodline or you may only be able to use it when you have bot MS's).
