anyone know how itachi awakened his MS, i think i missed something in the manga and please remember he had it before he killed everyone in his clan and he didnt kill Shisu

Ask yourself this. Why would a good man like Itachi want his brother to become a murderer? Let's not forget, Itachi acknowledged he failed because Sasuke became a criminal.

Itachi was simply testing Sasuke to see if he would really kill Naruto. Sasuke didn't as he chose not to obtain power by listening to Itachi.
