And if he any of them look in his eyes or his ring, they are in a tsukiyomi. So I could see him taking down 1-2 at best 3 before the last few hit him with their powerful moves.

gaara can solo, itachi has nothing to kill him with

genjutsu= gaara can counter this cause he can sense thing with his sand like how he countered the mizukage's genjutsu

amaterasu= wont harm gaara's sand

magatama= gaara can make a large volume of sand to defend against this

suasanoo = itachi cant keep this up for long cause of his below average stamina (even when he was healthy). gaara can pull him from bellow or just make techniques on a large scale like tsunami of sand till itachi tires out. if itachi even releases suasanoo for a second in the desert he's dead.

kataon= useless against gaara's sand

suiton= useless against gaara in the desert(or anywhere else as he can control wet sand)

itachi does not have the stamina to fight gaara especially in the desert. in fact not many people can take current gaara in the desert

he was too fast for genjutus or amat vs sasuke. yata mirror is literally featless and hasnt done anything

genjutsu is mid range and gaaras a sensor. he would know about uchihas anyway. even madara didnt get him in one
