Itachi is the most gifted Uchiha in my opinion. Considering the power which is given to you as an Uchiha, Itachis skills surpass Madaras and Sasukes, such as his Mangekyou Sharingan has feats neither Madaras nor Sasukes Mangekyou Sharingan possess, for example Tsukuyomi and the spiritual weapons Totsuka no Tsurugi and Yata no Kagami. Of course, by pushing yourself with foreign forces like your brothers eyes, the Rinnegan and Hashiramas DNA, you surpass a user of the Mangekyou Sharingan.

Obito was speaking about how he would be dead at that very moment (with regards to Itachi's cowardly assassination attempt) - how if Itachi had known everything about him he wouldn't have used Amaterasu (which Obito overcame). Obito never said Itachi could defeat him in a fight or that the latter was stronger. lol pre-Rinnegan Obito with Mokuton and complete Izanagi would take it. Prime Obito with Jinchūriki paths would laugh at Itachi.

I believe it's an undisputed fact that Madara is the most gifted Uchiha, even without all the added abilities. He mastered sharingen at a very young age and fought in actual wars toe to toe with Hashirama. I doubt Itachi is any where near this. But, I respect your opinion.
