If this is following Kishi's structure.....this isn't a good sign....I think Naruto will lose almost everything and It will be an all out battle to the end......Then Kishi pulls a DragonBall and revives everyone except Naruto and Sasuke because somehow they perform the Rinne Tensei XD

Obito's threat was "as long as you keep opposing (should be resisting, I think), your friends will die one after the other". This got straight to Naruto's weak spot - that perhaps he can save them if he gives in. He needed to be prodded by those closest to him (Hinata, Kurama) to be able to overcome this trap.
