Everyone seems to put either oro or jman in their top 10 but not hanzo. That's something I don't get considering he was stronger than all 3 sannin combined. They got famous cuz they survived so shouldn't he be considered top 10 material?

Because Hanzo got weaker when everyone else got stronger. During his prime he was the strongest, but not anymore.

We can't even fairly judge how strong he was. The Sannin could have improved over the years while HAnzo did nothing and got rusty.

It's possible that the Sannin weren't at their strongest, so it's understandable he isn't in many lists.

While he was incredibly powerful, the Sannin were not at their most powerful during that fight. He's in my top 20 though.

Well, the Sannin weren't exactly in their prime. We didn't see Jiraiya using SM, and we know that Oro hadn't gotten close to being as powerful as he was vs Hiruzen, so he wasn't exactly fighting the Sannin we know.

But I agree with you on the fact that he's terribly underrated :y

Top 10 might be pushing it a bit though

Hanzo is most deff a contender for top 10, but because of the lack of information we have on him it make's it difficult to say.

They were like 20, and their prime is like 30. They got much much stronger and IMO any Sannin could solo him without much difficulty. Maybe like mid diff but he's top 20 material, or top 30

Prime Hanzo is around Part 2 Jiraiya/Oro level I guess.

I dislike the argument of "Everyone else improved while Hanzo got weaker." No matter how incredibly true this statement his, you don't always determine things on what they become up until their death. For example, I'm sure everyone puts Madara (not Edo Madara, don't even get me started) in their all-time top 10 but over time he became this weak, frail, old man surviving off of the Gedo.

Lemme throw another one at you, for those who love The Legend of Zelda. Sure at its prime, that game was the bees knees but over time games have evolved and become more advanced, but in the end you'll always recognize Zelda as and all-time great.

It's hard to determine where exactly Hanzo would be on a list (in comparison to the Sannin) considering we'll never see them face-off but I'd say he'd be around or a little bit above their level.

I say they were in cuz a 40 year old man starts losing muscle mass n testosterone so when they fought hanzo they had to be at least mid 20's early 30's but I agree it might be hard to judge cuz we didn't see the fight but its no doubt jman had sage mode its been shown he had already stated practicing as a child.

No. We haven't seen many feats, other than beating 3 Shinobi (Sannin). By that logic, Sakumo is also Top 10 material, as he was equal to all three Sannin combined. Also, Edo Hanzo got beat by Mifune.

This!^^

Hanzo got wooped by Pein, JMan took out 3.

Jman took on 3 and beat 3, Hanzou took on all 6 and lost too all six! If Jman would of took on all 6 from the beginning and all 6 knew about sage mode they would utterly rape him!

The fact that it took all 6 and Nagato knew his powers/secrets on top of that is an amazing Feat! It took a Demi God too Kill Hanzou basically!

Edo hanzou killed him self too let them seal him! =)

It's not even about becoming old and not fighting. Both mifune and Pain said the same thing. He lost his conviction and his blade went dull. He became scared and lost any passion/beliefs he had which made him strong in the past. A man's belief and determination is what makes them strong. That's why naruto became stronger than just about everyone when he at first was the weakest.
