So here's a prediction
The second hokage died in the first shinobi world war.He gave up his life to save the rest of his team .So when he went out to go approach the enemies It was madara alive . So madara put tobirama under genjutsu so he can show him the seals for impure world Resurrection and after he showed him he killed him . Let me know what you think of my theory
Edit:Forget abouth the part madara killing him he could have put him under genjutsu to teach him impure world Resurrection and then he left him to be killed by the kinkaku force

having said that, madara would not be in a state to kill Tobirama I think. Also, tobirama did sense the kinkaku force. How could that be Madara?

No dude. Tobirama died towards the end of the second great shinobi war not the first. And Madara was already presumed dead at the time. Also the manga states he was out numbered by the kinkaku shinobi force from the cloud, so your theory failed before you even typed it.

Tobirama Senju had the body of the sage and was pure 100% yang based, so he's naturally immune to all yin "sharingan" based genjutsus, I don't think any uchiha could've killed Tobirama or anyone else, he was a TS user and had the reanimation jutsu.
