Let me get some things straight....


Madara wants to cast the moons eye plan. He needs to be the host of the juubi to do so.

Host of juubi needs a real body. Meaning obito needs to give his life so madara has a real body.

Obito is going along with the moons eye plan to be with Rin and Kakashi in an Illusion world.

But Obito must die to give Madara the capability of casting moons eye plan...

How will Obito be in Illusion world if he's dead..... and it's quite obvious that he's not planning on dying for Madara....

What's his goal then? when he was younger and being influenced by madara it was pretty clear he wanted to be in this moons eye plan to be reunited with rin...

Did his plans change? Nothing is making sense lol..

Here is another thought. It origionally seemed as though the technique wouldn't be fatal....When Nagato planned to use it Konan mentions, "if you use it as you are know..." Before being cut off...It heavily implied that Nagato could have lived were he at his best (before super Shinrei Tensei and Chibaku Tensei).

I guess it is either Kishi changed his mind or Madara's age plays a factor....

Yeah, for the moment at least, I'm leaning towards Rinne Tensei not being necessarily fatal, i.e., the chakra payment is proportional to the length of time the person has been dead. If true, then there's a simple way out; Obito revives Madara and dies, and Madara immediately revives Obito. If Obito died just moments before, it would be a simple matter for Madara to revive him. It's an "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine" situation. This could also explain why Obito didn't just revive Rin since he would be dead and she couldn't do jack about it.
