I agree, in reality they should have lost. The iron sand alone should've killed them. If he separated it and shot it like bullets encompassing the whole area, they wouldn't be able to dodge it and would've gotten poisoned and ripped to shreds.

Nagato got emotional just like Sasori did. Sasori remembered his parents and he was fighting his grandma.

now that you said it its clear that chyio and sakura won

the time sakura tried to kill sasuke she could have killed sasuke but her emotion stopped her for a moment which made her lose her guard and sasuke attack her

Sasori lost because he wanted to. That is the end of it. In the end, sakura and chiyo hit home for him. He wanted to rejoice with his parents and knew he could never fully become a puppet as he still had the emotions tied with the heart. Therefore, that match was fully fair and sasori lost of his own free will. He could have won, but did not due to his own accord.
