has kakashi overcomed his father in power?

Sakumo hatake was said to be strong enough to beat sannin in 1v1 (when they were still young, so i'd say that he had 80% power of a current sannin aprox), Asuming sakumo had that power, he could struggle with SM jiraiya and loose high diff.

Kakashi has improved his kamui so much that he could solo a bijuu with 100% of his chakra (unfair, kishi sucks) Obviously MS kakashi solo's almost everyone in the NV, but in therms of just power, do you think kakashi is stronger than his father?

If jiraiya had SM fighting hanzo, i'm sure he would have used it, but in the manga it was base jiraiya fighting hanzo, so old jiraiya > young jiraiya, and current orochimaru > hanzo.

Kakashi just has a very unique jutsu that sets him apart. But his father was said to have overshadowed the three legendary Sannin in his day, Kakashi is no where near that though he is arguably the strongest Konoha ninja after Tsunade, Naruto, Sasuke, and Orochimaru. He is very skilled, don't get me wrong, and a boss in his own right, but I just don't think there is a comparison to be made here. As Kakashi said to Kakuzu, " The next generation will always surpass the previous one..."
In some ways he has, and a lot of others he hasn't.

Are you sure? Jiraiya met Hanzou during the 2nd Shinobi World War, where he shortly thereafter met Nagato, the "Destined Child". He trained and received his prophecy of the destined child at Mt Myoboku before he went to Amegakure and encountered Hanzou and Nagato. You cannot assume that he didn't use Sage Mode because we don't have a full explanation of their bout and you cannot assume that if he didn't use Sennin Modo, it was only because he didn't have it as they're other factors that could have came into equation.
