Jiraiya is Underrated

I wanted to take the little time i have to write this thread because, i believe the name Sannin has degraded in the ears for some people who are in the base. I believe that in a sense the word Legedary Sannin doesn't go for much anymore and has lost it's value, which i believe is due to people not seeing the bigger picture.
I want to take this time out to talk about one individual that, in my eye's died before we got to see him at his prime or at least, didn't get to see more of his incredible power.... Yes! I would be refering to the Pervy sage himself "Jiraiya".
Jiraiya is one of the three "Legendary Sannin", which are the elite and famous people from the hidden leaf that are respected for their incredible traits and powerful jutsu... Being one of the three Legendary Sannin, Jiraiya was an extremely powerful shinobi, easily considered Kage-level, and was initially chosen for the position of Fifth Hokage by the Konoha Council, though he turned it down, as he's an incredibly delightful person that doesn't take anything seriously, which is why i believe he's underrated. People think people he acts stupid he isn't as strong as he is made out to be...
His strength was so great that even powerful members of Akatsuki either were easily subdued like Konan, while others like Itachi Uchiha and Kisame Hoshigaki, a Mangekyō Sharingan user and former member of the Seven Mist Swordsmen respectively, opted not to face him in battle, fearing that the very best they could do together against Jiraiya would end in a stalemate. Kisame even admitted that he was no match for Jiraiya saying he was "on a whole other level". Itachi stated that even if they had reinforcements, the result would be no different.

Allot of people always say that this is allot of lies and that Itachi was being nice... This is lies. Then knew how strong and experienced Jiraiya is, not only does he has a vast amount of Jutsu but he has an incredible amount of knowledge which is a great advantage in battle....

I wanted to take the time out to first talk about the vast amount of Jutsu that Jiraiya possed and how effective they are in battle. Which is why he is considered so dangerous.
Barrier: Canopy Method Formation
Classification: Ninjutsu, Barrier Ninjutsu

This technique creates a spherical detection barrier with the user at the center. At the user's command, the detection barrier can expand, grasping everything in the room. The user is able to detect anything that moves inside the barrier space with their own "sense". The user may also move, the barrier will follow them as they move.
This is an very useful technique if your opponent is good in the "Art of Stealth", This allows Jiraiya to be able to know the were about's of his opponents without physically seeing them. This comes in very handy when trying to enter sage mode.

This technique is used to capture and isolate a victim by dragging them into the toad's stomach. Isolated from the outside world by a barrier, the space inside the Gourd Toad's stomach is far larger than the surface size of the Gourd Toad itself.
The environment inside the toad's stomach is a cavernous chamber, which includes a lake of strong corrosive gastric acid that can dissolve anything that should happen to fall into it, along with shores around the acid lake, and formations sticking out of the lake; the already-existing structures within the Toad's stomach are seemingly unaffected by the acid lake. Once trapped inside, an opponent is cut off from any allies and susceptible to attack, and can then be easily defeated.
This is a very effective technique if your are out numbered or out matched. This also works very well again sensor type's are they are unable to sense your presence...

By changing the surface of an object beneath an enemy into mud and creating a swamp, the user can sink his enemy into the mud. The adhesive, chakra-infused mud ensnares the enemy's body, making it almost impossible to recover one's strength and escape from the swamp. The size and depth of the created swamp depends on the user's skill and the amount of chakra used, but if the user is an expert in this technique, it will always be possible to make a fair-sized swamp which is extremely effective against a great number of enemies or when having to face gigantic creatures
This is a very effective Technique that allowed Jiraiya to even, sink Oro's Snake Summons, while he was still under the effect of drugs... Giving that Jiraiya was under the influence of drugs and was still able to manage to pull of a swamp big enough to cause serious problems would suggest that he is very effective while using this technique....

You can see above that he holds allot of incredibly strong jutsu that can help him in a vast amount of situations. Don't worry... I know allot of people are probably wondering were all the other jutsu that he posses are, I'm going to get to them shortly.
Another thing that makes Jiraiya so incredible dangerous, and i believe this is taken likely.. However, it's him summons...
Mount Myōboku Summons
Mount Myoboku is a sacred place of the land of toads. The place where all the toads that Naruto, Minato and Jiraiya have summoned live. It is home for huge and small toads alike. Mount Myōboku is a rich and beautiful land, whose ultimate authority seems to be the Great Toad Sage. Shima and Fukasaku are both elders and sages, and they seem to have an even higher authority than Gamabunta himself.
Toads possess a wide range of abilities, being able to spit water or oil from their mouths as well as utilising things ranging from their own tongues and weapons in battle. What is most unusual is that they are one of the few species able to do ninjutsu, and one of the few animals thus far capable of hand signs. Toads are also familiar with senjutsu, making them (along with their contractor) very powerful when invoked on the battlefield.

This is a two-way collaboration technique. Gamabunta uses the Toad Oil Bullet technique to shoot a jet of oil from his mouth. His summoner then ignites the oil. Toad Sword Beheading
A technique only a toad can use, by employing its characteristic bodily features. Its strong hips and legs give birth to an uncommonly precise leap, with which it slices at its target. Since the interval is covered in the blink of an eye, the opponent can't even try to escape. Gamabunta uses this together with his huge dosu (Yakuza sword).

Despite this, he has shown no signs of being any more clumsy or "ungraceful" than other toads in the series, albeit he also says that he will always do his best. His nickname "Ken-san" gives him a sense of reliability like that of someone who will definitely be there for a timely rescue when in dire straits.

Ma & Pa
Two Great Sage Toads -"Ma" and "Pa". If one needs to enter Sage Mode, they can be summoned and fused onto the summoners shoulders, to channel the natural energy while the summoner is in combat. Both great sage toads are extremely proficient in the use of elemental techniques that require the nature manipulation of wind, fire and water. In addition, they are equally adept in the use of natural energy to augment their abilities. They are also able to use high level sound-based genjutsu techniques that involve the use of sound waves to confuse, paralyse or immobilise the enemy.

Another point and probably Jiraiyas biggest Trump card... "Sage Mode"! Jiraiyas Abilities in sage mode are the same as Naruto, with the one exception and that's the fact that he needs Ma & Pa, on his shoulders....

Sage mode can be entered when one has mastered the ability to gather Natural Chakra, which is when the user is able to perfect a balance between his chakra's....

This chakra cannot be seen by anyone other than those who have been trained in senjutsu. This new chakra enables the user to enter an empowered state called Sage Mode, which can then drastically increase the strength of all ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu.

Yes... I understand that there are draw backs, considering it takes Jiraiya a while to enter this mode. During which time he must stand completely still... However. He has proven that his summons have the ability to distract most opponents, giving him the change... Last time he only had one summon helping him.
One of Jiraiyas best assets is his Chakra reserves as he has proven he has massive amounts of chakra and knowledge. These are things that are overlooked..
